Brief Answer:
avoid any decongestant by mouth

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

there are drugs which may cause a fast heart rate and hypertension like the decongestants. The decongestants can be taken by mouth or by using nasal sprays or creams. The local treatment with sprays or creams is usually safer but it may cause the same side effects if absorbed systemically. Pills affect the whole body and will cause an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Patients with atrial fibrillation have a tendency to develop tachycardia, so avoiding using decongestants is recommended.

If you'd like to ask about any specific product or active substance, I'll be glad to provide the necessary information to you.

Kind Regards!
