Suggest OTC Medication For Insomnia And Nausea
Melatonin or phenargan can be used
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Health care magic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
Unfortunately herbal medicines lack acute effect and I do not think it can be a option during active withdrawal symptoms of pain medications.
Similarly OTC medication for this purpose are limited but I feel melatonin can be a good option during this phase as it is natural and good sedative properties.
The another option is promethazine (phenargan) which is an antihistamine medication and have good sedative properties.
In regard to pain medication I feel ibuprofen or diclofenac are the OTC medication which can be consumed when the pain is unbearable.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
To be avoided when working
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I do not think you should take any sedative medication when working. The likely to make you drowsy.
The dose of phenargan is 25 mg and for melatonin it is 3 gram.
Having said this the pain medications can be taken during day as they do not make you drowsy. The dose for ibuprofen is 400 mg three times a day and for Diclofenac it is 5 mg three times a day.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
