Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

Overall, use of opioids for chronic non-cancer-related pain should not be for more than 1 month, because use of opioids for more than 1 month leads to tolerance, addiction, and worsened pain over time (hyperalgesia). I would work carefully with a pain management doctor to make sure you explore other options. It is safe to convert from oxycodone 10mg to codeine 30mg, as these are roughly equivalent doses, but only under the close supervision of a prescribing doctor.
