Suggest Alternative Medication For Klonopin

Question: My Anxiety level is extremely bad this morning. I probably can't get Doctors appointment today. I take Clonapen, 3 a day, bupropion, Hcl Xl Tabs - 150 mg X 2 a day and blood pressure medicine. I have had a shocking experience. My money for furture has taken a shocking blow. This is cause of problem. Feel angry, frightened and extremely anxious. Can you help until I can see my Doctor next week.. This is Friday.I have history of anxiety. Great husband, good home life.

Thanks for writing to us.

You are already taking klonopin (clonazepam) and that is good anti anxiety drug. You can take total of 2 mg in divided doses in a day for anxiety. You have mentioned 3 and 4 in your query but it is number or mg that is not clarified.
Clonazepam is benzodiazepine and prescription drug. You can adjust your dose for a while as I mentioned and on Monday inform your doctor and then follow your doctor’s suggestion.

In OTC only propranolol (inderal) is available in some countries without prescription which can be used for anxiety. You can take 40 mg in a day in divided doses for relief in anxiety.

Also drink lemon juice or fruit juice you like for a while, it may help.
