Suggest Alternative Medication For Painful Urination
You are right, however, you could have superinfection of candida infection
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. It is hard to say, but if you truly believe that the symptoms are worse, I suspect that you have overgrowth of candida, meaning you have a yeast infection that has overpopulated causing the urinary sypmtoms that you have, this is effect because you have eliminated the good bacteria by use of the antibiotic. I would suspect that you also had a yeast infection, I would get over the counter intifungal fluconazole to take and your symptoms should resolve, I hope this helps, good luck. Please note that if your symptoms continue despite this added treatment, then you might need to have your urine restested as you may have another infection still brewing.
Does this seem right to you?
Thanks for the added information, I agree with their approach
Detailed Answer:
If you have taken the fluconazole, then we can strike out the candida, however, just because you are taking the medication as stated, does not mean that the bacteria or fungus die immediately, and that is why IF after your course of treatment you still have the urinary symptoms, you will need to see the doctor/Urgi-care again. I would call them on Friday as stated, if they prescribe something again, at least you shouldn't have to go and see them again.
