Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Novaclox LB
Question: Hello,
I am 36 years old, in the 22nd week of my second pregnancy. I have just been diagnosed with acute pharyngo bronchitis. My gynaecologist referred me to a general physician, who prescribed an antibiotic Cap Novaclox LB 500 mg thrice daily. Unfortunately this antibiotic seems to be out of stock. Please can you suggest an alternative to this antibiotic?

You can take tablet Amoxyclav 625 mg three times a day for 5 days and see the response.
Most likely it will resolve if you do warm saline gargles and avoid cold beverages along.
