Suggest Remedy For Spreading Boils In Thighs Filled With Pus
Question: I had a boil on my thigh. It spread and I got several of them close to each other. Very painful. A local doctor gave me an antibiotic Novaclox 500. The boils have healed over time but the area is very itchy. One day ago, I noticed that the area is oozing a clear white liquid (not pus). The oozing is quite a lot. Similar oozing had happened about 10 years ago from my neck area (there was no wound then, just a rash) and it was cured by using Diprovate ointment and citrazine. Please help.
Brief Answer:
Eczema or fungal infection Possibily.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query and picture. It can be most likely due to eczema or fungal infection. In such case i would recommend using ointments containing combination of antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole, anti fungal like terbinafine and corticosteroid like clobetasol for local application. This is available in brands like panderm plus. Antihistamines like cetrizine can be taken orally also. Approach your GP for prescription.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please explain what is the liquid oozing out and why this is happening? Is this a cause for worry?
Brief Answer:
That is due to inflammation.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
The oozing of fluid is due to inflammation. This can happen in allergy (eczema) also. There is nothing to worry for this. Combination of antifungal, anti bacterial and corticosteroid will help in such case as I mentioned before.
