Brief Answer:
OTC diuretics

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You are requesting a list of medication OTC that can be used as diuretics. Your current doctor is not refilling your Lasix until you see him. Until you see your doctor there are a few diuretics available OTC but are no where near as powerful as Lasix. The generic name for OTC diuretic is pamabrom. This pamabrom is used frequently in women's premenstrual medication to help reduce water weight gain during cycles. It also comes in combination with Tylenol and caffeine. The caffeine is also a mild diuretic and the combination of caffeine with pamabrom may help reduce some or your water gain. Ask your pharmacist to help you find the correct formulation for you. The trade name of these medications are Diurex Water capsules, Midol Complete or Pamprin Cramp or XXXXXXX

The best option is to see your doctor and have him refill your medication. You can even ask your pharmacist if they can give you a small supply until you see your doctor.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns or questions.
