Brief Answer:
Infact condom is best option but OC pill is next best

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Health care magic.

For the young newly married couples condom is the best option.

Since you are not willing to use condoms use of oral contraceptive pill is next best option when it comes to safety and efficacy. This will require a visit to health professional for proper guidance and physical examination to rule out any contraindications.

I hope this answers you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Can't just she start taking unwanted 21 tablets from first night . I know its takes 6-7 days to take effective. During this 6-7 days we can use condom. Is it critically important to advise from doctor before taking unwanted 21 .
Unwanted 21 is very comon medines and its advertisement also says that its suits on every women.
Note : we definatly visit doctor but after 6-7 days . And then follow doctor as per her advise .
Am i thinking wrong ?

Thanks for follow up.

You are right in saying that advertisement claims its usefulness for all women but unfortunately it is not true (it is like T & C in all kind of advertisements). I never said that doctor consultation is required as for screening purpose even the ANMs are well trained and if they suspect anything they will refer you to doctor.

Having said this for short term use before seeing a health professional I do not see merit as it takes time and why to risk when we are not sure.

The other thing which is effective and can be used is calendar method. This method used to abstain from sex or use protection on certain days of cycle and on other days you can proceed without use of any protection.

For advising in this regard I need following information.

First day of her three last menstrual periods (dates at which her menstruation started on last three occasions).

Thanks again.

Thanks doc for your advise. I understand SDM and calender method and i can not ask her first day of last 3 menses.
I just wanted to know what kind of risk (healthwise or pregenancy wise) if she take unwanted 21 without gyno advise . We will definatly plan for visit doc but after 10-12 days aftermarrige as we can not leave house due to tradition and its weired to go to doc just after marriage.
Or you can suggest any other oral contraceptive which can suits on higher percentage of women.
Hope you understand the situation on intention of this question .

Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks again.

The risk to person varies as per her existing health condition. The most common side effects are weight gain, soreness of breast, spotting and some serious side effects those with cardiovascular health ailments.

There are no side effects as the pregnancy is concerned since it is effective in 99.7 % of individuals on proper intake.

If you are sure that she does not have any cardiac ailments and no family history of breast carcinoma you can proceed with unwanted 21 intake.

There is no great difference in tolerability and effectiveness when the patient is fit to take the pill. It could be Mala D, Mala N and many others.

I hope this assists you.
