Suggest An Ideal Pain Medication When Allergic To Aspirin
Question: I am very highly allergic to aspirin, I itch and then I scratch until I have sores all over my body, so I know to avoid aspirin. My Doctor prescribed Imdur er 30 mg after taking for a few months I have started to having a severe itching problem, when I went to the Dr in August I showed her and she just said I had very thin skin, My question is if I can't take an aspirin because I am allergic, is there anyway I could have a buildup of something in the Imdur er 30 that could be causing an allergic reaction since both are taken for the heart
Brief Answer:
No type of build up
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.
You have an allergy to aspirin but Imdur ER is nitroglycerin and has nothing at all associated with aspirin. It is possible though that the Imdur is dropping your blood pressure and dilating your blood vessels that maybe causing a release of histamine. But otherwise there are no ingredients n Imdur that you cause you to have allergic reaction.
