Suggest An Over The Counter Medication For Stomach Pain Caused By Diverticulitis

diverticulitis and gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Diverticulitis involves inflammation of one or more diverticular pouches due to herniated mucosa into the colonic wall. Bed rest, clear liquid diet antibiotics are needed for mild to moderate diverticulitis cases. Complicated cases that do not respond to conservative medical management may require surgery. Signs and symptoms of Intestinal obstruction and peritonitis should be looked for and evaluated by your doctor when taking decision regarding management options.
Most likely you are referring to Prilosec. For GERD/Dyspepsia symptoms, PPIs like esomeprazole can be advised in combination with pro kinetics like itopride or domeperidone. If there is severe gastritis with erosions or peptic ulcer disease then oral treatment alone wont work and it would require IV infusion of PPI like esomeprazole.
Peptobismol and Prilosec are the OTC options available for now.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
