Suggest Appropriate Treatment For Finger Fracture Using Below X-ray Report
Brief Answer:
Two fractures visible.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query and X ray pictures. There are two fractures visible in this. Oblique fracture of middle phalange and fracture of base of distal phalange. Both look stable. So conservative treatment which is immobilisation by splinting will helpful. Splinting should be kept for 6 weeks for fracture consolidation.
In case of pain you can take NSAIDs like ibuprofen.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

my whole finger is swollen and green. I added a pic.
Brief Answer:
Swelling can be there for 3 days.

Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
I have gone through your picture. Swelling can be there for 3 days. You can take NSAIDs like Ibuprofen and apply ice packs. Immobilisation in splints will be helpful to consolidate the fracture. The finger can be splinted together with the nearest finger. While applying splints it shouldn't be so tight to arrest the blood supply towards the distal side. 4 to 6 weeks will be needed for consolidation. You can take a X ray after that.
