Brief Answer: use contraception Detailed Answer: Hi, By preventing baby formation, are you asking means to avoid a pregnancy? Are you looking for the best contraception for you? I see that you have a baby boy of 2.8 years, and had a copper T inserted in September 2011. If you are still using the copper T, you can continue to use it. Usually, a single Copper T can act up to 5 years. If you are comfortable with it, you can continue to use it. There are several other forms of contraception that you can use based on your choices. Let me know if there is anything specific you are looking for. regards,

Brief Answer: side effects are minimal Detailed Answer: Hello, Side effects of Copper T are minimal and are experienced only in the initial stages of insertion of the copper T. This includes increased vaginal bleeding, painful menstruation, infections, etc. But these do not occur continuously but subside within few months of using copper T. Copper T is one of the most popular and widely used contraception in India. Regarding the test to know that copper T is normal, you can get an ultrasound scan of the uterus to look for its position and the overall condition of your uterus. Wish you good health.
