Suggest Dosage For Celecoxib And Gabapentin
Question: Iam 89 years old & suffering from severe syatic ? Symptoms. Currently taking 200mg celecoxib once a day & 200mg gabapentin 3 times a day. Have been on that only about 3-4 days but it isn't lessening the pain even when I walk with my cane . Sometimes it is so painful I am unable to sleep .
Do you think medical marijuana would help with a minimum of side effects.

I understand this could be disturbing and could prompt thinking of other effective options. I think Celecoxib and Gabapentin in the respective doses you are taking are appropriate.
I will suggest that you take the drug for about 7 to 10 days first. Relieve in most patients usually comes after a week.
Medical Marijuana has been described to help, but the evidence of its effectiveness in this condition is not very conclusive.
Other simple measures like adding Acetaminophen in low initial doses to your present regimen could be helpful. However, this could be helpful after 7 to 10 days on these present medications.
I suggest some patience for like a week, and try lying on flat surfaces (no pillows) like on a floor to properly align your vertebral column .
In case these fail, you might have to consult your doctor. However, its too early to think of using medical marijuana at this point in time.
