Have been taking 1 to 2 mg of klonopin and ambien for sleep as well. Sometimes 10 mg. of prpranolol when heart races.
Brief Answer:
two weeks is reasonable time
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I think your doctor is taking right approach to increase the dose of prozac to 40 mg after trial of two weeks with prozac 20 mg.
It is common observation that after discontinuation you often need higher dose of prozac and I think 40 mg is well within reasonable limits without risk of any serious side effects.
In addition considering the use of other medications including klonopin, propranolol and poor response with 40 mg of celexa makes me to think in favour of higher dose of prozac and not for lowest possible dose.
I hope this answers you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regard.
