This is an IV only antibiotic given in hospital settings.
It depends on expected response by physicians.
Generally given as continuous iv infusions for one hour 4 times a day to get stable concentrations.
It takes 4 days to achieve that concentrations but physicians can decide when to stop on the basis of response of other parameters like temperature.
