default
Posted on Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Question: Hello. I am XXXXXXX I had an query. Please can you suggest me a very good moisturiser for oily to acne prone skin. One of my friend recommended that Neutrogena Oil free moisturiser is really good. Now generally my Doctor prescribed me to apply Deriva Ms and a Xinmoist 24 moisturiser but still in the day time I feeel my face gets too oily and May be it does break out because of the oiliness. Can u suggest me that should I continue using the Xinmoist 24 moisturiser or switch to Neutrogena oil free moisturiser. Or will it increase my acne vulgaris.
Past history- I feel this is my first breakouts of acne. In past i never had too many acne. I used to have sometimes and it used to disappear. But this time it is really taking time and I am really stressed about it. It's all over my cheeks and jaw line. Looking forward for your help. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Stop Xinmoist

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I can certainly understand your concerns.

It's advisable to stop Xinmoist 24.

Oiliness and acne are probably related to it.

Get back to Neutrogena.

You should completely recover in 2 weeks after stopping Xinmoist.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
B.LAB skin gel will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

Neutrogena Oil free moisturizer is a good product to prevent acne.

Simultaneously you can use Deriva MS every night.

Additionally I would like to prescribe B.LAB skin balance night gel to get rid of acne to a great extent.

Please check with your dermatologist if he shares my view and if can prescribe this gel to you.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.

Thank u. I will surely ask that. What about the contact dermatitis. I Think my right eyelid is suffering from contact dermatitis. It itches and makes several folds over my eyes. Can i use the mosturisers over my eye lids tooo? For time being I am simply applying pure aloevera over my eyelids as I have seen it reduces the itchiness. May be my eyes r allergic to something that causes the allergy. Doctor Can u tell me how long will the Deriva take to remove all my pimples? Now its somehow little lesser than before. But still small smalll pimples on ma cheeks can still be visible under the light . It doesn't itch but It is does bothersome. Please doctor suggest me something to get 100% results. Thank u. Or sud I stop using Deriva?

Brief Answer:
It may take 4 to 6 weeks for complete resolution

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

Don't apply moisturizer on eyelids.

For itchy eyelid, I suggest Olopat eye drops thrice a day. This is extremely affective against contact dermatitis type of itchiness.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.

Continue with Deriva MS for another 2 weeks.

It may take another 4 to 6 weeks before complete disappearance of pimples.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
