Suggest Home Remedies For Bee Stings On The Body

Question: Hi..

A honeybee had stung my 5 yrs old daughter at bottom of her foot yesterday. Though had used some home remedies, it has formed a red patch now, which continously gives itching sensation . Is this normal and heal on itself?

Kindly see that the stinger has been removed. Then I would suggest you to wash the area with soap ( like dermadew) and water. Apply an ice pack or cold, wet washcloth to the bee sting for a few minutes. You can apply calamine lotion with alovera to the affected area it has soothing effect and reduces the itching. Oral antihistamine can be considered if it does not help. With this measures he should be fine.
