Brief Answer:
not many or effective home remedies

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

home remedies are not very effective. I can suggest some but do not expect much...

Staying hydrated is very important, so drinking enough water is essential particularly if you've got fever.
Clear nostrils help to avoid complications from the sinuses or the ears. Clearing the nostrils (with sterile normal saline is better) helps to remove the mucus. Standing and moving will help with nasal congestion.
Using an extra pillow at night will also help with the congestion.
Some find gargles with salt water helpful. Most won't find any relief...

The common cold is a viral infection which requires some (or many) days to resolve. Patience is required. If you develop fever or severe headache then clinical examination by your doctor would be recommended.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Brief Answer:
the cough is hard to manage

Detailed Answer:
You're welcome!

Managing the cough is not easy. You can only try to breath warm steam over boiling water. Don't get too close though because it may too hot. You should only inhale warm steam.

Kind Regards!
