Suggest Medication For Depression While On Abilify And Klonopin

Question: Hello, I take 15 mg of abilify in the morning and 1 mg of klonopin three times a day. I was wondering what you recommend for depression that doesn't interact with these medications. Prestiq and lithium gave me chest pain, and zoloft made me feel more depressed. I read that high amounts of vitamin c can help with depression, so is it okay to take 1000 mg of vitamin c with my medications because I read an article where it said 4 out of 147 people died when they took abilify and vitamin c together. Here is the article where it says that: http://www.ehealthme.com/sdi/abilify/vitamin%20c/death/
So do you think it is safe to take 1000 mg of vitamin c with abilify and klonopin after reading this article? If not, what else can I take for depression. I've read that saffron is really helpful for depression. Would that interact with the abilify and klonopin? I also heard about a new medication called Trintellix. Do you think this would be a good medication for depression, and would it interact with abilify and klonopin? Do you know of any others that would be good that would not interact with my medications? Please tell me what medication you think would be good for depression that would not interact with abilify and klonopin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
I would not take vitamin C for depression as there is no large scale robust evidence that it is effective. Instead, I would indeed recommend Trintellix. Trintellix will not interact with Abilify or Klonopin and is highly effective in the treatment of depression.
