Question: I have not been diagnosed by a doctor, but I think I have fibromyalgia. Is there treatment for the pain without taking longterm pain med?

I have noted your clinical details. Fibromyalgia is eminently treatable. The following medicines have proven efficacy in treating fibromyalgia:

1. Pregabalin,
2. Duloxetine,
3. Gabapentin.

In addition, balneotherapy (dipping the body in warm water, such as warm swimming pool for 15-20 minutes) also helps.

Physical therapy with IFT/ultrasound of the painful regions would also help.
