Brief Answer:
No medical treatment for adhesions

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in

Considering the fact that you have had three separate surgeries and a colostomy reversal with incisional hernia repair, adhesions are known to occur after repeated exploration of abdomen

There is no medical treatment of adhesions but a good number of tissue separators are under evaluation and some have good results

As far as pain is concerned Ibuprofen and Paracetamol shoul work better than tramadol

Hope this helps

Should I get off of tramadol slowly or can I just stop all at once. I truly believe something else is going on in my stomach but doctors can't find anything. It is ver disappointing because the pain never goes away. I am at a complete lost as to where or what to do next thanks for your help
Are the tissue separators being used on patients now

Brief Answer:
You May Stop Tramadol Straight Away

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in again

Yes you may stop the tablet straight away
Adhesions by themselves are painless but the problems they cause with movements of intestine are causing pain

Agreed it is disappointing but unless and until some thing concrete is found doctors are also helpless

Yes tissue separators are being used on patients but only when adhesions are found on exploration to prevent further incidence of adhesions

Hope this helps
