Brief Answer:
Take small frequent meals
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I appreciate your concern for your husband. Since your husband had suffered from dual infection in the past , So you need to take care of him.
In case he visits some country in future , which is endemic for malaria or typhiod he can porphylaxis prior to his visit. For starting porphylaxis, you can contact your GP who can arrange for you neccessary drugs .
Regarding his diet , he can take diet consisting of green leafy vegetables, poultry, fish and may be a little red meat to provide the necessary protein for the body to repair itself. Include plenty of green vegetables, whole grains, rice, and iron-rich foods as they are considered good for malaria patients. During recovery, a malaria patient tends to lose his/her appetite, so provide him small frequent meals.
Hope it helps

Hi XXXXXXX
He seems to be suffering from Acute infection of Malaria ,since his Plasmodium Falciparum is positive.Kindly tell him to continue his course of antimalarials. Monitor his body temperature.Take lots of fluids and small frequent meals, preferably semisolid meals. Take adequate rest . Watch for any warning signs like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, bleed from any site, rash ,shortness of breath etc.In case he develops any new symptom , kindly tell him to report to his treating physician .He might need repeat blood tests to look for the clearance of the parasite from the body.
