Brief Answer:
TRY MEDICATION

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Your condition is called dysmenorrhoea.
Natural remedies will help, but medications will make much of a difference.
First, if overweight, reduce your weight.
Drink lots of water .
Avoid colas, fried foods, pizzas, oily , processed food etc during your periods.
Restrict salt intake.
Take a hot water bottle to bed.
Chamomile tea will help.
Have a massage with XXXXXXX and lavender essential oil.
Try physiotherapy and yoga during periods.
Medications such as Meftal - spas taken twice a day will totally relieve you.
If this does not help, please have a gynecological evaluation ( internal exam and a pelvic ultrasound scan ) to rule out other pathological conditions.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am 162 cm high and 65 kg by weight.I have read about dysmenorrhoea and also came to know about the role of hormones Prostaglandins. It said that higher level of Prostaglandins causes all these symptoms. In my case I feel all these conditions starting 2 days prior to period till 2nd day of period. 3rd day is very normal and fun. But on the 4th day I again experience all bad conditions though at a lower level than day 2. From 5-7th day I amm again fine.
I want to know why does Prostaglandins level in my case suddenly goes down on day 3 and reappear just on day 4. Any possible explanation. Also usually I have an upset stomach -constipation or diarrhea. I have underwent a complete check up for this gastro intestinal problem, but they couldnt find any issue. Does my weak digestive system has anything to do with my period problems? Thanks.

Brief Answer:
NORMAL HORMONAL PATTERN

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Yes , your research is absolutely correct.
The dysmenorrhoea is caused by prostaglandins, so prostaglandin inhibitors are needed to combat it.
The pattern of menstrual pain and discomfort is highly individualized.
SOme women do not have it, some have it for a week or more, the majority have it like you for a few days.
On the last day, the hormones do peak in any case during the periods, thus making you feel much worse.
Do not worry, it is just how hormones are secreted in the body.
Digestion problems are due to the prostaglandins secreted at this time, and not the other way round.
Take care.
