Suggest Over-the-counter Medication For Gout Attacks
Over the Counter Medications
Detailed Answer:
Good day. Since the attack has already begun I would highly recommend over the counter anti-inflammatory medications. Examples are naproxen (Aleve), meloxicam (Mobic), ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), sulindac (Clinoril), celecoxib (Celebrex), or indomethacin (Indocin). I highly recommend you see a doctor for this condition as to better be prepared and ensure these attacks are prevented to as much a degree as possible. Nonetheless I understand you not having done so; particularly since it has gone so long without having an Episode. I'm sorry you are experiencing such symptoms. I do however believe the above recommend medications may help. Other therapies that may help is increased water intake, as to better flush the gout crystals developing in your bloodstream, joints and organs, and cold compresses upon the effected areas where you are feeling pain. Lastly be careful with eating PURINE rich meals, these are meals that are extra meaty; particularly organs like liver and or other slices that are heavy in fat. Lastly is alcohol, which I would recommend you abstaining from. I hope this advise has helped.

I wish you the best of luck.
