Nerve blocks would be preferred.

Hello and thank you for coming to HealthcareMagic.
I read your question carefully but I believe some more information might be useful. You say nothing about the condition those treatments have been recommended about, how long have you had them, what other treatment has been used until now. You seem to speak of two different regions so apparently it is not even a question of one joint but at least two. So some of the above information would be appreciated.
Generally speaking non surgical measures would always be preferred to surgery. So trying nerve blocks is recommended at first. If that doesn't work one can always turn to surgery later on.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.
I also wanted to know what the nerve blocks I wrote down were and how long do they last or better yet how often can I have them?

Thank you for the additional information.
As I said in my previous answer I would still try to avoid surgery and try nerve blocks. I am not sure what was meant by "Genialor nerve block " I suppose there must be some misspelling, but anyway the principle is the same only the site of injection changes.
Regarding the nerve blocks their duration depends on the substance injected. There are nerve blocks including steroids and/or a local anesthetic near the nerve. This type of block has a shorter duration of action, for hours or days, hoping in the meanwhile that with inflammation subsiding and physical therapy symptoms will improve.
On the other hand there are the neurolytic nerve blocks in which a chemical substance which damages the nerve on purpose is injected like alcohol or phenol. In this case duration of action is longer, up to 6-12 months. Afterwards they can be repeated as long as there are no contraindications such as local infections or bleeding disorders.
Of course these time frames apply to successful procedures, there are cases where it may fail.
