
Suggest Remedies For An External Haemorrhoid Near The Anus In A Pregnant Woman

Question: Hi.. I am an XXXXXXX woman 30 years of age.. in the 24th week of my pregnancy.. all my scans and blood tests have been normal so far.. I am struggling with a pea sized external haemorrhoid just outside my anal opening.. it's become very painful since the last 2 days but is not thrombosed or infected by the look of it.. please suggest any remedy to provide relief.. really struggling with it

Since you are pregnant I will advise you only topical treatment which I found very useful in my patients and is safe to be used in pregnancy.
Use ointment containing Lignocaine, Calcium Dobesilate, Hydrocortisone, Zinc (Smuth Ointment) and do sitz bath, both at least thrice / day for 10 days.
