Suggest Remedies For Baby Colic And Constipation
Keep him well hydrated and burp regularly
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. There is absolutely no need for so many medications at this age for colics, diarrhea and lactose intolerance. The problems in your baby needs just minor adjustments. You may take the following measures:
- Lactose intolerance is usually a temporary condition in most infants and doesn't require long term lactose free formulas through out infancy. Complete permanent lactose intolerance is quite a rare condition. So, you may start with normal infant formulas now such as lactodex premium, Nan pro or lactogen stage 1.
- Infant colics occur usually due to aerophagia while feeding. A proper burping in between and after feeds for few minutes is usually sufficient to help in colics. Colicaid drops or bonnisan drops can be used for severe colics if burping doesn't help. There is usually no need for xymex drops.
- Avoid antibiotic such as zynocin 50 for viral diarrhea. It doesn't help at all.
- Try breastfeeding as far as possible. Ensure proper dilution and hygiene while preparing and feeding formula milk.
- Constipation usually improve with breastfeeding and lactose containing properly diluted milk.No need for any other medication if baby pass stools even once in 2-3 days with no abdominal distension, vomiting or poor feeding.
Hopefully it will be of help.
Take care
