Suggest Remedies For Cheek Pain Post An Injury
Question: Hello:
I have chronic sinusitis. I am also clumsy. Last night, I had a dream I was falling, and I woke up on the floor screaming because I actually fell out of bed and smacked my face on the corner of my nightstand. I have a swollen nose, more so on one side, but I have no more trouble bleeding than usual, a scrape at the tip of my nose, and very, very slight bruising around the crease to my nose, inside my upper lip, and in the natural crease under my eye. You can hardly tell it's there. What's bothering me is the cheek pain. I am throbbing and tender just to the side of my nose, just under the apple of my cheek. Where my sinuses bother me anyway, I was just wondering if alternating heat with ice would be a bad idea.

Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you. The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible fracture of the zygomatic bone or the cheek bone.
Ideally you need to get a x ray done and if found meet with a maxillofacial surgeon.
And in the meantime, cold packs and anti inflammation medicines should help.
Steam inhalation 4 times a day can be tried for sinusitis.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
