Question: My 17 yr old Son just texted me that his girlfriend was diagnosed with "weak Chlamydia"?...she went in for UTI and her Doctor diagnosed as such....I certain my Son should be tested?...just the "weak" has me wondering on what should be done

In addition, all partners (most recent partner and all partners within the past 60 days) should be tested and treated. You son and his girlfriend should also refrain from sexual contact for until 7 days after full antibiotic treatment. He should also be retested after treatment.

It is transmitted through vaginal, anal, or oral sex; in addition it is transmitted vertically during vaginal delivery. Most cases are asymptomatic, especially in females.
