Birth Weight was 1.6 KG and his current weight is 15.5 KG

He walked almost after 2 years.
3. Did he cry immediately after birth or did he require any special assistance to take the first breath?
He cried immediately after birth ( I was also in that room).
4. How long does he see television or tablet or cartoons per day?
He had recently started watching TV with his elder brother but not beyond 30 minutes. We have recently disconnected the TV.
5. Did any one of the parents' had a speech delay as children?
No, none of us had that issue in our childhood.
6. How many word s does he speak as of now- I mean his vocabulary consists of how many words?
Around 15-20 different words he is speaking today but most of them are mono-syllabus. Like Mumma, Dadda, Papa, Faru, XXXXXXX (naighbour Kids), Duddu Do (Give me milk), Ball, Aaja (come), Phone, Ma.. & so on..
7. Have his ears been checked for auditory potential or a BERA test has been performed at any point of time?
Yes, We did Bera Test during his birth and its results was Negative. We never felts that he had a hearing problem as he respond when we call and is also scared of Pressure Cooker whistle.
He needs speech therapy and effort from your side
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Suggestions:
1. I suggest you should be singing rhymes to him and stimulate him and encourage him to utter words.
2. Do not use tablet or computer or TV or laptop for doing that.
3. Do not force him too much comparing him with others.
4. He might get benefited by speech therapy.
I agree that he turns to sounds, but there are limits to hearing certain decibels.
My suggestion is that you should get a BERA test done again. Based on that he might require an ENTconsult or only speech therapy.
But speech therapy will definitely improve his speech capabilities.
