Brief Answer:
May need further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:

Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.

Excessive sweating in this age group may need evaluation depending upon detailed history taking and clinical examination.

Excessive sweating may be due to -
- Menopause.
- Thyroid problem.
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) but unlikely in your case as metformin alone very rarely cause low blood sugar levels.
- Underlying diseases like infection or malignancy (Need evaluation if associated symptoms like fever, weight loss, chronic cough.)

As you have been seen by doctors for same it is unlikely to have any serious underlying problem.

In such case I may suggest -
- Complete Blood Count.
- Liver function Test.
- Renal Function Test.
- Urine examination
- T3, T4,TSH.
- Blood sugar level during episode of sweating.
- Chest x-ray.
- ECG.
- Ultrasound of abdomen & pelvis.

You should discuss all this with your treating doctor.

Hope this helps you.
