Suggest Remedies For Fever, Shivering And Body Pain

Question: Hi, Last night at around 12:30 am I gor shivering with fever which was 102 degree. During the day yesterday I was having body ache. I took a calpol at night and the fever and shivering subsided. In the morning today, fever was 99.5 degree and during the day also it was 99.5. No shivering. Did not take any medicine today. Please suggest way forward. Should I take any medicine or just wait and watch till the fever goes down. Thanks

the symptoms you have mentioned is classical of viral fever, which is associated with high grade fever and chills and may b joint pains. since there is no specific antibiotic to treat viral fevers, the treatment will be symptomatic, hence is suggest you to take tab. dolo 650mg twice daily in the morning and night. and eat healthy as a lot of energy will be dissipated in fighting infection and you will feel very tired. You can take these tablets for a couple of days and stop it if the fever subsides.
