Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to the big quantity of alcohol.
I would recommend staying at bed rest in order to avoid physical activity which can exacerbate this situation. Taking plenty of fluids would be helpful in order to lead to increased filtration from your kidneys, thus accelerating the elimination of alcohol and its metabolites from your body.
This situation does not seem to be concerning.
If the problem persists or gets worse, instead of improving in the next hours, I recommend going to the ER for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG
- complete blood count, blood electrolytes, liver and kidney function tests.
Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
To put my mind at further ease,
I don't have any shortness of breath, dizziness, chest, arm or jaw pain.
Can i presume that that all contributes to a none serious situation?

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I would like to explain that this clinical situation is also called "Holiday heart syndrome".
It is an irregular heart beat encountered in healthy individuals which have consumed large amounts of alcohol.
The irregular heart beat can vary from just ectopic heart beats to atrial fibrillation.
I would recommend follow my above mentioned advises. This is usually a benign and temporary condition, which resolves spontaneously.
Anyway, if the problem persists or gets worse, you should go to the ER to closely monitor your heart rate and perform the above mentioned tests.
Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties.
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
