What Causes Swelling At The Bottom Of The Spine And Legs?
Hi I am 39yrs old height 5ft 7 I am a woman weight we half stone,I have suffere shingles attAcks now 12yrs or so,none as badly as now,2days ago tingles started on buttocks now very bad massive bunch of them100 or so in crack of top half buttocks growing to right side of cheek,also dotted around in clusters more on right side 1 on left causing swelling bottom of spine,pain in spine and legs I can t walk for pain,an just last 4days affecting top of spine bone that goes up neck into my head is painful can t lisft my head headache mood changed tirednedd nausea temperature acciclovir only works temporarily I can t move my nek an shoulders or walk for pain,has the infection spread up my spinal cord causing neck pain an swellings top an bootom of my spine why can t I walk an tired,I h?e one on my nose and had one on my chin for 6weeks that wouldn t go causing pain in jaw ear an teeth causing temporary deafness,also had bed vaginal thich slimy vaginal discharge today tiny bit with black in it,can u help me please,is it crippling me or affecting my spine or brain stem,thankyou

Since you have history of shingles and now experience swelling bottom of spine and difficulty in walking, it is the infection of the spinal nerves by the herpes virus that is spreading. People may experience back pain in the lumbar spine preceding the outbreak of shingles. Coccydynia (swelling and inflammation of the tailbone) that you have is due to shingles of buttocks. Shingles do affect the spine and legs due to neuropathy and thus pain and discomfort.
Get clinically examined you need antivirals (Acyclovir / Famciclovir), tricyclic anti-depressants and numbing agents like Lidocaine to apply locally. Pain relieving medicines and narcotics for relieve. There is no cure for shingles but treating it early will reduce chances of complications. While on medicines avoid any type of sexual contact. Avoid scented soaps or douches, stay away from sun it can cause more blisters. Never have sex during outbreak. Counselling and physical therapy may help.
