Hello,

Possible causes:
1. Tonsillitis followed by submandibular lymphadenopathy.
2. Acute thyroiditis.
3. Mums.
4. Lymphatic edema.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clauvulinic acid 625 mg (If your not allergic) for five days. Do salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If the symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
