Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Your blood pressure values are above the normal ranges.

Have you suffered from high blood pressure before? Are you taking any anti-hypertensive therapy?

If you are on anti-hypertensive therapy these blood pressure values are a marker of noneffective anti-hypertensive therapy and changes/modulations (increase the doses or adds on therapy) should be done in order to help you manage better your blood pressure.

If you haven't any known history of hypertension, but similar high blood pressure episodes keep repeating time after time it is advisable starting anti-hypertensive therapy.

Before doing that, some tests are necessary to be done to exclude possible causes of secondary hypertension:

- a chest X ray study to examine your lungs
- blood lab tests (complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose, blood lipid profile, blood electrolytes, thyroid hormone levels).

Meanwhile, I would recommend you to avoid physical activity, stay calm and take 1tb of Captopril sublingually. A cup of lemon juice would help too.

If these blood pressure values persist, of you have symptoms like headache, nose bleeding, dyspnea, dizziness, etc., I would recommend going to the nearest ER service for a prompt medical assistance.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
