If you haven't had any tests a hip x-ray would be the recommended first step.

Hello again! Sorry for answering a little late but your follow-up question had come at night time (in Europe) and I am noticing it only now.
It is a little difficult to make recommendations if you can not have any tests. In terms of what is more probable I would say that a muscle sprain is more probable. That is because fractures or dislocations would have much more pronounced symptoms and you would be unable to move, it would be unusual to be able to move with it for two months.
However an x-ray would be recommended, a non-expensive exam. That is because there may be some prior arthrosis to that joint which has only been put into evidence when it was exacerbated by the trauma.
Also at times while pain may be seemingly at the hip it may be referred pain from other close areas so imaging is needed to exclude other issues such as abdominal infections, bone tumors etc.
For the moment to alleviate the symptoms I would recommend an over the counter anti-inflammatory pain killer like Ibuprofen (800-1200mg a day). In the future exercises to strengthen your hip muscles would be helpful to avoid future injuries.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.

I am really sorry she is not taking you seriously. I am afraid all you can do is talk to her in order to convince her that hip pain in someone young is not a common finding and needs an evaluation, at least a physical exam.
Perhaps you can print and show her our conversation and the one I see you have had with my other colleague Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta, perhaps the fact two doctors think you should be evaluated will convince her.
I hope that will bee of help.
