Suggest Remedies For Insomnia And Hot Flashes

Question: I am on Aggrenox, twice a day, for post stroke therapy. Am having terrible problems while sleeping - skin feels like I'm on fire (new mattress} or feel like I'm being cooked alive, HOT HOT HOT through and through with the new 3" polyurethane "ISO COOL" mattress pad. Is there anything I can do to obtain a quality night's sleep?
Please help.

Insomnia and hot flushes are the side effects of Aggrenox. Most commonly seen in the elderly females. Consult your doctor, they can give you a alternative medicine if it is seriously affecting your daily sleep routine.

As it is prescribed for prevention of stroke. Only your treating doctor can take a decision of changing or reducing the dose. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
