Suggest Remedies For Irregular Menstruation With Abnormal Bleeding

Question: My wife is 42 and has been having unusual bleeding since the last 2 months after a delayed cycle. Her cycle was delayed by about 1.5 months and then she started bleeding. We consulted a gynaecologist and he prescribed Primolut N. The initial dose of Primolut N was thrice a day and on the 2nd (Sep) he changed it to 4 times a day. She completed 20 days today. She is still bleeding lightly now.
She did not bleed from 23rd to the 30th August and then she had started again. Since the relapse, she is bleeding normally (not too light or heavy). She underwent several tests on the 27th Aug, including blood, thyroid, Pap smear, High vaginal swab, USGs and CA 125 test. All results came well (mostly within limits and the doc did not have concerns) except unobstructive renal calculli and a thickened endometrium (15 mm).The doctor has now advised Hysteroscopy, endometrial sampling and D/C.
Is the hysteroscopy, endometrial sampling and D/C required now or could we wait for some time to see if she comes back to the normal cycle again?

Brief Answer:
Hysteroscopy is a must
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir thanks for trusting health care magic.
yes indeed she needs hysteroscopic d & c at the earliest because of her age, high endometrial thickness and non response to primolut.
Any complaint at her age which is not responding to usual treatments should be addressed at the earliest.
It is a simple procedure done under anaesthesia and gives proper and precise information.

Thank you, doctor. When you say at the earliest, is it possible for you to assess whether she can wait for the test for a 2 to 3 weeks after the advise (for hysteroscopy)?
Brief Answer:
Can wait till then
Detailed Answer:
Yes sir, you can wait for a month or so but she will keep on bleeding till then and might bleed heavy after leaving the tablet so keep taking tablet till biopsy in case you plan within 2-3 weeks after discussion with your gynecologist.
Moat probably there will not be anything scary but better to be cautious about medical complaints at her age.
All the best
