Suggest Remedies For Itching And Pain In Eyes

Question: I think I scratched my eye earlier today, I can see out of it Ok, but it hurts when I blink & close it. I have been washing it with eye lubricant, but the pain seems to be getting worse. All the walk in clinics in the area are closed & the only option is the hospital emergency room. Is it safe to wait until tomorrow morning?

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

In my opinion you can wait till tomorrow, there are eye drops available OTC having NSAID in them they do help with pain and inflammation.

I would also suggest you to take Ibuprofen it wil reduce pain and inflammation. Hopefully things will settle down soon and everything will be fine. If it doesn't settle , you can contact your doctor tomorrow. In my opinion there seems to be no need of visiting the emergency.
