Suggest Remedies For Lower Right Pelvic Pain
Question: I have lower right pelvic pain. I feel a lump, tender to touch with moderate pain. I felt a fullness in the pelvic region earlier today. I am 65 yr old female. Only have had a few UTIs over my lifetime. Do I need to go to urgent care or can it wait until tomorrow.
Brief Answer:
Appendicitis or ovarian mass
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The presence of fullness and lump in the right iliac fossa region with moderate pain indicates the possibility of a possible pelvic adnexal mass likely ovarian. Though appendicitis is another differential diagnosis which anyhow would have to be ruled out. If the pain is increasing, then it would be best to report to ER to rule out acute appendicitis as that would be an emergency.
However an ovarian mass can be evaluated with time. You may visit ER to get an urgent ultrasound abdomen and pelvis done.
Regards
