Suggest Remedies For Muscle Pain, Dizziness And Constipation When Diagnosed With CJD

default
Posted on Sat, 21 Jan 2017
Question: I have a friend who was just recently diagnosed with CJD. She was fine in Sept., but in Oct. things started to change. Her symptoms are...mental confusion, constipation, more severe joint and muscle pain, dizziness and more. She has been drinking alkaline water from a kangen water machine for over a year. I read where this machine contains calcium glycophosphate (spelling could be wrong). Could this diagnosis be wrong and could these symptoms be caused by the water? I've read the negatives about alkalosis and dhe has these symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I appreciate your concern about your friend.

While it is true that in some cases alkaline water use may cause some side effects of that type I doubt that is the cause here.
Of course I do not have medical reports at hand but I doubt that the doctors made such a rare diagnosis like CJD based only on symptoms, those symptoms are not specific they can be caused by many other conditions.
I think they have made the diagnosis based on other tests, such as brain MRI, lumbar puncture, electroencephalogram etc. They must have had blood tests to rule out metabolic causes such as alkalosis.

If you can provide reports from the hospital I would gladly review them to make sure, but as I said I doubt the diagnosis has been made based on those symptoms alone, one can safely assume that some tests have been prescribed.

I remain at your disposal for other questions.

You are correct Dr. Taka, My friend had all of the tests you mentioned above. They sent a vial of spinal fluid to XXXXXXX Clinic for diagnosis. I guess i was grasping and hoping !!! Thank you for your answer.
