
Suggest Remedies For Pimples On The Areola

Question: i have a larg lump/ pimple on my aerola near my nipple! My gp said it was a grease gland but when i burst it fluid came out but it didnt go down im 21 year old

I have a large lump/ pimple in my aerola regionit has been there for a few years, i experience some itching in the region at times! when i pull it back it has a white/clear centre. I tried to birst it bwfore but cleae fluid came out and a scab formed but the pimple was still there after the scab went away! Im currently 21 years old.

Hi back,
After reviewing your pictures It looks like hair follicle infection (folliculitis). If you were my patients I would recommend to do an echography evaluation of pectoral area and skin culture for bacteria.
If the diagnosis is confirmed you should use antibiotics (based on culture results) and if no improvements than you should discuss with a surgeon to definitely remove it.

Ok thank you for that, could a hair follicle infection b there for several years? so its not something i should be really worried about for example pagets of the breadt etc?e
