Suggest Remedies For Redness And Irritation On The Penis

Question: I have had bad irritation and redness on my penis for about a month now and have tried lotions, vitamin e oil, moisturizers and washing normally. Its not an allergic reaction and went 14 days without any use of it and it didn't get any better at all. I have a new girlfriend and she likes sex but the redness and irritation are very bothersome. What can I do to heal quickly?

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

I am sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your penis. The redness is from allergic reaction or sensitivity to psoriasis. Either cause would need treatment with a steroid cream. I would recommend starting with over teh counter hydrocortisone once or twice daily until the redness resolves. You can then retreat as needed. If the hydrocortisone does not help you may need to see your medical provider for a stronger steroid like triamcinalone. The higher steroid can then be used once daily and intermittently when needed.

This is not a STD just skin sensitivity.
