Question: I have recently had a sinus infection. Mostly pressure on the left side. I live in XXXXXXX where it is dry and windy all the days of my life. I am in Cancun, Mexico at the moment, had a essential oil massage today, and while I was drying my hair with my head bent over, a yellow water like liquid came flowing from my left nostril. I'm assuming this is from the infection?

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your symptom of yellowish water like fluid coming from left nostril on bending head,probably it is due to sinus infection.

You may get relief by taking Oral decongestant like Phenylephrine and Nasal decongestant like Xylometazoline drops (if you are not suffering from hypertension),Mucolytic(like Ambroxol),Analgesic(like Ibuprofen) if you are suffering from headache and antihistaminic(like Cetrizine).

Also do steam inhalation.Avoid dust,smoke and other pollutants.Avoid cold food,very sweet food and bakery products which increase mucus production,Drink lots of fluids(warm).
