Question: I m suffering from stuffy head in left side only ...I m feeling lot of pressure in my head since 2 days....but no runny nose or any fluid discharge occurring...only stuffy head symptom persists..sir I m taking clavam 625 mg twice a day and allerfex m tablet at night.and also m using azeflo nasal spray ...sir I need your advice regarding this....
Brief Answer:
You seem to have sinusitis
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your problem. You seem to have sinusitis which is characterized by thick mucus blocking the opening of the sinuses. Taking steam inhalation would provide relief. Water in form of vapor will reach deep inside and help in diluting the mucus and would thus provide relief. Azeflo nasal spray or allerflex M tablet are likely to help. But it is not much use taking clavam (an antibiotic) since the blood supply to the sinuses is very poor and hardly any medicine reaches there.
Subsequently provide me with updates and I would guide you accordingly.

sir how many times I will use azeflo nasal spray twice a day or once a day....is it better to use cefodoxime antibiotic or not...
Brief Answer:
Antibiotics would not help.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. As I have already mentioned, sinuses have poor blood supply and hence taking antibiotics like cefpodoxime will not be of help. Rather, steam inhalation would be helpful. Azeflo nasal spray is best used as required. However, it can be used around four times a day if required.
