Question: I have had a white tongue for some time. tonight there is a small tear and it is bleeding.

Can be premalignant lesion, go for biopsy

Thanks for writing in.

As per your symptoms, you might be having premalignant lesion like:- leukoplakia, candidiasis or lichen planus.

To rule out, you need to go for biopsy, Meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene by regular brushing & do betadine gargles.
