Suggest Remedy For Absence Of Periods After Taking Unwanted 72

Your menstrual clock is reset, you should have your periods in a weeks time
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
There seems to be slight alteration in your periods after taking Unwanted 72. In almost every woman who takes Unwanted 72, due to light level of hormones (levonorgestrel), there will be either early or delayed periods for up to the next two cycles. This can cause confusion and it can be seen that you had an early bleeding 11 days after taking the emergency pill. This has reset your menstrual clock and that is why you are still to have your periods.
If you did not have unprotected sex after 12th November 2014 then there is no need to worry. Home pregnancy test is most accurate when done at least 15 days after probable unprotected sex and I think your home pregnancy tests are accurate.
You can wait for another week for the periods to occur as this can happen after taking emergency pill. Please take emergency pills only when needed and taking it often can cause side effects like irregular periods, cysts in ovary and infertility.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

sir,why am i not getting reply from ur side?is there ne issues?
Did you have Unwanted before 17 Nov? and when you did pregnancy test?
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
If your husband used condoms on 17th Nov and you had sex on the same day and took Unwanted 72 36 hours later then there is no chance of pregnancy.
Taking Unwanted 72 has created hormonal changes and this is causing irregular periods in you.
I want to ask you following questions.
1. I want to know if you have taken Unwanted 72 pill any time even before 17th November?
2 On which day you did home pregnancy test?
Please write back with answers to above questions. Then I will discuss if you should go to gynecologist or not.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Please wait for another week and then consult gynecologist if no periods
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
Good that you have taken Unwanted 72 and iPill rarely, as you know it should be taken only in emergency, not more than once in 3-4 months.
You have had early bleeding which started on 23rd November, though it was only for two days. Together, the Unwanted 72 and some amount of mental stress is causing your periods to be late this time. If you did home pregnancy test today and found it negative then its almost certain that there is no pregnancy and also your husband used condoms on 17th November.
Going by your normal duration, your next periods should have started but some how it is delayed this time. I suggest you wait for another week till 31st December for your periods to happen. If you still do not get periods then consult your gynecologist and take medications to regularize your periods. Please do not worry.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
