Suggest Remedy For Accidental Ingestion Of Dettol

Question: What to do after drinking dettol.. just 10ml
Brief Answer:
Small amount, should not cause much harm.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome here.
I can understand your concerns.
Dettol is something which is not to be consumed orally as it can cause toxicity.
However, 10ml is a small amount which should not cause serious harm.
It can cause nausea, vomiting, gastric irritation as primary symptoms.
You can take an antacid syrup for the same but must consult your doctor for assessment of harmful effects of dettol, if any.
Wish you well.
Thanks.

Plz tell me the timing to take antacid syrp.. and also she is bleeding even this is not period cycle.. and v r planning for baby. . But the result is negative yet. May be it ll show positive in some time. And blood is not like period blood. It's looks like fresh blood. . plz tell me is dettol harmful for conceiving. . V had a glass of milk and glass of water after dettol.. and still having pain in lower abdominal. . But the painning is from before dettol. .
Brief Answer:
Dettol would not affect chances of conception.
Detailed Answer:
Antacid syrup can be taken twice a day but consulting your doctor is important..
I do not think the bleeding is related to dettol.
Single intake of such less amount of dettol would not affect chances of conception.
The pain in lower abdomen is probably due to bleeding.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor (OBGYN) for examination of cause of bleeding.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hello doctor. V had a intercourse in may and XXXXXXX . And took ipil.. now v r planning for baby. And v r trying from last 3 months. But the result is negative. In this month my wife have bleeding but blood not looks like M.c. bleeding.. it looks like a fresh blood.. so our question is that is this a sign of conceiving or miscarriage. Or do v need to take medicine for planning if v had used ipil in history. V had 1 ipil in may and 1 unwanted 72 in XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Fresh blood is not a sign of conception.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
sorry for late response.
Fresh blood is not a sign of conception.
It may be an early miscarriage.
For conception, the timing of intercourse is important. Have intercourse in fertile period of her cycle, that is between day 7 and day 21 of her periods. Most fertile period would be around day 14 of her cycle.
Technically, if you are unable to have child after 1 year of trying for it, then it is labelled as infertility.
However, I would still suggest that the cause of bleeding be evaluated by her OBGYN. Apart from this, hormonal profiling (thyroid, prolactin, LH, FSH) should be done for her.
Ipill taken in may-june would not affect chances of conception now. Do not worry about that.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.
